# Asterisk Talley's WITB: jumbo grips and graphite irons

> The 2026 US Women's Amateur champion is 17, plays graphite shafts through a combo iron set, and grips every club oversized because of a shot she hit with her dad's clubs.

**Setup verified:** 2026-08-10

Asterisk Talley won the 2026 US Women's Amateur at seventeen, on an endorsement agreement with TaylorMade signed under NIL rules in March 2025, when she was sixteen.

Two things make the bag worth reading rather than listing. Every club has a jumbo grip on it — her own explanation is that she once hit a good shot with one of her dad's clubs and never went back — and the irons run graphite shafts through a P770 and P7MC combo set, a build that barely appears in the men's bags on this hub.

## Quick facts
- **Status:** Amateur — 2026 US Women's Amateur champion
- **Clubs:** TaylorMade (endorsement, under NIL)

## Notes

The grips are the story the gear pages keep missing. Jumbo through the whole bag — Golf Pride CPX on the woods, CP2 Pro on the irons, CP2 Wrap on the wedges — after she hit one good shot with a club of her father's that happened to be built that way.

Graphite iron shafts through a combo set is the other unusual choice, and it is the one the reporting hangs on: KBS TGI 100 in both the P770 long irons and the P7MC block below them.

The TaylorMade relationship is an endorsement agreement made possible by NIL rules, announced in March 2025 and with terms undisclosed. It is not a staff contract, and she is not a staffer.
