He has won on it more than once. Two things stand out beyond the ball. The driver is a G430 Max 10K he has never replaced, despite Ping having launched newer heads since; and the putter is a TaylorMade Spider Tour X mallet he only switched to at the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship, having walked away from a Scotty Cameron blade. He won that week and kept it. ## Quick facts - **Tour:** PGA Tour - **Clubs:** Mixed (Ping, TaylorMade, Mizuno) - **Driver:** Ping G430 Max 10K - **Ball:** Maxfli Tour X ## The bag | Club | Model | Spec | | --- | --- | --- | | Driver | Ping G430 Max 10K | 9° · UST Mamiya LIN-Q Proto V1 7 TX | | 3-wood | TaylorMade Qi4D | 15° · UST Mamiya LIN-Q Powercore White 8 TX | | 7-wood | [TaylorMade Qi4D](https://ifrothgolf.com/product/taylormade-qi4d-7-wood) | 21° · UST Mamiya LIN-Q Powercore White 8 TX | | Irons | Mizuno Pro S-3 | 4-iron to pitching wedge · True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 | | Gap wedge | Mizuno Pro T-1 | 52° | | Wedges | [TaylorMade MG5](https://ifrothgolf.com/product/taylormade-mg5-wedge) | 56° SB, 60° LB · True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 | | Putter | [TaylorMade Spider Tour X](https://ifrothgolf.com/product/taylormade-spider-tour-x-putter) | SuperStroke Zenergy 1.0PT grip | | Golf ball | Maxfli Tour X | | ## Notes Dating: the core of this bag — driver, irons, putter and ball — is corroborated by Today's Golfer's update of 13 July 2026 for The Open, National Club Golfer's detailed check of 4 February 2026, and golf.com's club-by-club list from his November 2025 win. The fairway wood models and the gap wedge are where those sources diverge, and we have flagged each in place. The long-game slot above his 4-iron is not fixed. National Club Golfer's February 2026 list adds a Mizuno Pro M-13 2-iron, Today's Golfer's July list a Mizuno JPX 923 3-iron, and his 2025 winning bag had no long iron at all — it rotates with the 7-wood depending on the week, so we have left it out of the fixed 14 rather than name a club he may not be carrying. Griffin has no single club sponsor. Four manufacturers are represented across the bag, and his only firm equipment tie is the Maxfli ball deal he signed in 2024. ## FAQ ### What driver does Ben Griffin use? A Ping G430 Max 10K at 9° with a UST Mamiya LIN-Q Proto V1 7 TX shaft. He has stayed with it through newer Ping releases — it is one of the longest-serving drivers among the world's top 30. ### What ball does Ben Griffin play? A Maxfli Tour X. He signed with Maxfli, Dick's Sporting Goods' own brand, in 2024 and is the only high-profile male tour player using it — including for his PGA Tour wins. ### What putter did Ben Griffin switch to? A TaylorMade Spider Tour X mallet, put in play at the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship in place of a Scotty Cameron blade. He won that week and it has stayed in the bag through 2026, though tour photographers have since spotted a custom Cameron in his hands, so the slot is not guaranteed. ### Who are Ben Griffin's club sponsors? None exclusively. His bag runs a Ping driver, TaylorMade fairway woods, wedges and putter, Mizuno irons and a Maxfli ball — four brands, chosen slot by slot. ## Sources - [Today's Golfer](https://www.todays-golfer.com/equipment/witb/ben-griffin/) - [National Club Golfer](https://www.nationalclubgolfer.com/us/tour/witb/ben-griffin-witb/) - [golf.com (2025 WWT winning bag)](https://golf.com/gear/ben-griffins-wwt-championship-witb/) - [Golf Monthly (putter switch)](https://www.golfmonthly.com/news/ben-griffin-winning-whats-in-the-bag-world-wide-technology-championship-2025) - [GolfWRX (2026 RBC Heritage putter)](https://forums.golfwrx.com/topic/2090608-ben-griffins-custom-cameron-putter-2026-rbc-heritage) --- Source: [ifrothgolf](https://ifrothgolf.com) — independent golf-gear editorial.
