# Jennifer Kupcho's WITB: a Ping prototype mini driver at 13°

> Kupcho carries a mini driver nobody can buy alongside a G425 LST that is two generations old. Every club, club by club.

**Setup verified:** 2026-09-13

Jennifer Kupcho plays Ping throughout, and two of the clubs are unusual. The driver is a G425 LST at 10.5° — a 2021 head, two families behind Ping's current G440 — and above the fairway slot sits a Ping prototype mini driver at 13° that has never been sold. Below them the bag is conventional and current: G430 hybrids at 22° and 26°, i240 irons from the 5-iron, s259 wedges at 50°, 54° and 58°, and a PLD Ally Blue Onset putter.

Kupcho won the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur in 2019 and the Chevron Championship in 2022 for her major. Bernardus was her fourth Solheim Cup, and it ended on her match: Carlota Ciganda beat her 4 and 2 in the penultimate singles to clinch the Cup for Europe, 15–13.

## Notes

The mini driver is the third to appear in this set of LPGA bags, and the three players use it three different ways. Céline Boutier plays one instead of a driver. Haeran Ryu carries one as a second tee club with no fairway woods behind it. Kupcho slots hers between a driver and two hybrids, in what would normally be the 3-wood position. It is a club the women's game appears to be working out in public.

Her driver is the other outlier. A G425 LST dates to 2021, and a contracted Ping staffer sitting out two release cycles at the top of the bag is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight.

There is no fairway wood in this bag at all — the 13° prototype is the only thing between the driver and a 22° hybrid.
