The ifrothgolf review
Takomo built its name on direct-to-consumer irons, and the Lumo M1 is its first putter, launched in October 2026 alongside the Lumo B1 blade. It is a low-torque design, meaning the head is engineered to resist twisting through the stroke so the face stays square to the path with less manipulation, but Takomo's pitch is that low torque does not need to look complicated. The M1 is a compact, rounded mid-mallet in a soft D shape, with high MOI, a deep centre of gravity and a long alignment line. The one-piece head is machined from 303 stainless steel with a mid-depth groove face and a heat-treated finish, and it comes in Satin Steel or Black DLC. Specs are 70 degrees of lie, 3 degrees of loft and 14mm of onset, in 33, 34 and 35 inch lengths with head weights of 362, 357 and 352g respectively, on a KBS CT Tour single-bend shaft with a SuperStroke 2.0PT Takomo Edition grip and a recycled-fabric headcover in the box. The honest caveat is the same as with any online-only brand: there is no shop to roll it in before you buy, so lean on the 30-day return window, and note that customised orders cannot be returned.
