The Netherlands doesn't shout about its golf, but it has a genuine gem: real duneland links on the North Sea coast, a short hop from Amsterdam. The country's standard-bearer is Kennemer Golf & Country Club near Zandvoort — a Harry Colt design from 1928, played among the dunes, with a landmark thatched clubhouse and a long history of hosting the Dutch Open.
It's British-style links golf with a Dutch welcome, easy to reach through Schiphol and simple to pair with Amsterdam and Haarlem. We start with Kennemer, the heart of Dutch golf, and will build out from there.
