Wales punches above its size in golf — headlined by Celtic Manor, the resort purpose-built to host the 2010 Ryder Cup, plus the great links of Royal Porthcawl on the south coast.

Wales is one of Britain's most under-rated golf destinations — and, tucked just over the Severn from Bristol and the west of England, one of its most accessible. Its calling card is Celtic Manor, the vast Usk Valley resort that was purpose-built to host the 2010 Ryder Cup, but the country also holds genuinely great links (Royal Porthcawl) and a run of scenic parkland and coastal courses.
