The ifrothgolf review
Almost every sim enclosure is a flat rectangle, and a flat rectangle is why a home simulator still reads as a screen in a room rather than a golf hole. The curved kit bends the impact screen around the hitting area so the projected image carries into your peripheral vision, and the difference is not subtle — it is the single biggest change you can make to how a bay feels without touching the launch monitor. Carl's Place sells it as a kit: the curved screen, blackstop surround fabric, ball bungees, zip ties, steel fittings and foam inserts, in six footprints from 9x14 up to 10x17 and three screen heights. Two things to plan for. The pipes are sold separately, which is normal for Carl's kits but catches people out on the first order. More importantly, a curved screen changes your projector geometry: a short-throw lens focused on a flat plane will not stay sharp edge to edge across a curve, so this is a decision to make alongside the projector rather than after it. Install is DIY with step-by-step instructions, and it is a genuine afternoon or two rather than an hour.
