The ifrothgolf review

PING's 2026 wedge line, refining the S159 with new grooves, six grinds and Chrome or Raw finishes from 46° to 62°.

What's great

Tightly-spaced MicroMax grooves add greenside spin, it's plug-and-play consistent in bunkers and full swings, and it's a credible Vokey rival at a fair price.

Worth knowing

It's an evolution of the S159, not a revolution — if your current wedges still have sharp grooves you won't feel much, so buy on wear, not the badge.

The verdict

One of 2026's best wedges and the category where 'new' is genuinely justified — replace worn grooves with these and you'll get spin back.
