The ifrothgolf review
In-depth reviewRead our full TruGolf LaunchBox review7.7/10The LaunchBox is TruGolf's portable camera-based unit, built to work indoors or outdoors, and its most interesting feature is commercial rather than technical. It ships with E6 CONNECT Home and 27 owned courses, with no annual subscription — which matters because the running cost is the thing that decides most launch monitor arguments and almost never appears on the price tag. A unit that is cheaper on day one and then bills you every year can lose comfortably over three or four seasons to one that does not. Being camera-based, it needs no marked balls and no stickers on the clubface, so the setup ritual is short. Portability is genuine, not marketing: it is meant to be carried to the range and used off grass, which is where a lot of indoor-only units quietly stop working. What you are giving up is the level of club data the premium tier reads, and a course library that stops at 27 unless you buy more. If you want a permanent bay with hundreds of courses and full club numbers, look higher up the range. If you want to own what you bought and never see another invoice, this is the argument for it.
