A Srixon staffer who spans five brands — Srixon, TaylorMade, Cobra, Cleveland and Scotty Cameron. One of the most mixed setups on tour, club by club.

Hideki Matsuyama plays a Srixon ZXi LS driver, Srixon Z-Forged II irons and the Srixon Z-Star XV ball as a Srixon/Cleveland staff player — but his bag is one of the most brand-diverse on tour. The fairway woods and short game step outside the family with a TaylorMade Qi10 3-wood, a Cobra 5-wood, Cleveland prototype wedges and a Scotty Cameron putter.

The core Srixon pieces have been stable through 2025-26. What moves is the top and bottom of the set: he carries a Srixon ZXi5 3-iron above the Z-Forged IIs, and with Srixon's new ZXi RKT woods now on tour, the 5-wood slot is the one to watch at Medinah.

The story of the bag

Matsuyama is a Srixon and Cleveland staff player, but his bag spans five brands: Srixon driver, irons and ball; a TaylorMade 3-wood; a Cobra 5-wood; Cleveland wedges; and a Scotty Cameron putter. The core Srixon pieces — ZXi LS driver, Z-Forged II irons, Z-Star XV ball — have held steady through 2025-26.

The fairway woods and Cleveland prototype wedges are older, well-trusted gamers he's been reluctant to change, a theme for a player who values feel over the spec sheet.

Two slots are genuinely unsettled going into the Presidents Cup. Srixon put its new ZXi RKT woods on tour at the Travelers in June, and August bag checks have a ZXi RKT 18° fairway where Today's Golfer's September list still has the Cobra 5-wood; the Srixon ZXi5 3-iron is likewise in some lists and not others. Matsuyama tests more gear than almost anyone on tour, so a fortnight-old bag check is worth less for him than for most players.
