The biggest young talent in the game — and the 2026 putter switch that broke a career-long habit.

Ludvig Åberg is a Titleist staffer with a mixed-bag streak: Titleist driver, irons, wedges and ball, TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods, and — new for 2026 — a Scotty Cameron Phantom mallet. That putter is the story, because Åberg had used blade-style putters his entire pro career until switching to the mallet around the Charles Schwab Challenge.
The other quiet fact is his driver: he's still gaming the four-year-old TSR2, having tried the newer Titleist head and gone back.

The story of the bag
The putter switch is a genuine talking point. Moving a career-long blade user into a high-MOI mallet is a big deal, and Åberg made it mid-season and kept it. Everything else is classic Titleist tour spec, driver holdout included.
