No club deal, decade-old gamers and a driver that rotates week to week. Inside one of the most independent setups in golf.

Patrick Cantlay is one of the tour's most notable equipment free agents — no club contract, a deliberately mixed bag and an unusual loyalty to old gear. His most recent setup (The Open, July 2026) pairs a Ping G440 LST driver with decade-old Titleist 915F and 718 AP2 clubs, Vokey wedges, a Scotty Cameron Phantom prototype and a Titleist Pro V1x ball.
The driver is the moving part: he debuted the new Titleist GTS4 at the 2026 RBC Heritage and has rotated the Ping G440 LST, Titleist GT2 and TS3, all on the same Diamana ZF shaft. Treat the top of the bag as rotating rather than fixed.

The story of the bag
The story of Cantlay's bag is stability, not change: a Titleist 915F 3-wood and 718 AP2 irons that are close to a decade old, a rarity at the elite level. With no manufacturer contract, the brand mix is deliberate — a Ping or Titleist driver, Titleist woods, irons, wedges and ball, and a Scotty Cameron putter.
The two genuinely fluid slots are the driver and the putter. He rotated the Ping G440 LST, Titleist GT2 and TS3 before debuting the GTS4 at the 2026 RBC Heritage, so which head is in the bag varies week to week.
