Viktor Hovland runs a near-full Ping bag, anchored by a 2026 switch to the Ping G440 LST driver and a G440 hybrid, both upgrades from his long-serving G425 gear. The headline quirk is what he won't change: he still plays the Ping i210 irons first released back in 2018, paired with a Ping PLD DS72 prototype mallet that has been in the bag in some form since his maiden 2020 win.
He isn't on a rigid full-brand deal, so a TaylorMade Qi4D 3-wood and a Titleist Pro V1 ball sit alongside the Ping. He won the 2026 Travelers Championship with this setup.

The story of the bag
The 2026 story is the top of the bag. Hovland finally committed to the newer Ping G440 LST driver (he had reverted to the older G425 as recently as February while testing) plus a G440 hybrid. Everything below is classic Hovland resistance to change — the i210 irons are eight years old and the DS72 mallet lineage traces to his first PGA Tour win.
He's best described as Ping-committed rather than locked to a full-brand contract: the bag is almost entirely Ping, but he plays a TaylorMade Qi4D 3-wood and a Titleist Pro V1 ball.
