Si Woo Kim's WITB: a Cobra 5-wood in a Callaway bag
The 2017 Players champion qualified automatically for Medinah. His bag is Callaway almost throughout — with one Cobra fairway wood and a prototype putter that nobody will sell you.
By Jordan Hale · Equipment Writer
Si Woo Kim went to Medinah as a top-six automatic qualifier for the International team, nine years on from winning the Players Championship at 21.
He is a Callaway staffer, but the bag has two things a staff bag usually does not: a Cobra 5-wood, and an Odyssey prototype putter that has never been a retail club. Above the irons there is an 11.5-degree mini driver whose head nobody seems able to agree on.

The story of the bag
The top of the bag moves. Between late August and mid-September the 3-wood disappears from one list, the mini-driver head is named three different ways across three reports, and the 5-wood loft is given as both 17.5 and 18 degrees. The lofts and shafts are stable; the heads are not, so the uncertain slots are described rather than pinned.
Off the gear: he signed with Primo at the start of 2026, the apparel brand owned by Grant Horvat — who has a bag on this hub of his own.
