Jason Day's bag is the most unusual on the PGA Tour. He is an equipment free agent playing a Ping G430 LST driver, TaylorMade fairway woods several generations old, prototype irons and wedges from boutique brand Avoda, a TaylorMade Spider putter and a Bridgestone Tour B X ball.

The Avoda story is the interesting part: Day approached the small brand himself in late 2025 and plays prototype heads that differ from the retail versions, fitted with graphite KBS TGI iron shafts rather than the steel Dynamic Gold he used for most of his career. Meanwhile his fairway woods include a TaylorMade M6 and a Stealth 7-wood, clubs he keeps because they work rather than because anyone is paying him to.
