Tom Kim's WITB: the blade putter that ended a 1,001-day wait
A full Titleist bag, and a Scotty Cameron TourType GSS blade back in play since March — the same putter he won with in 2022, and the one he won the Genesis Scottish Open with.
By Jordan Hale · Equipment Writer
Tom Kim is a full Titleist staffer and the bag shows it end to end: a Titleist GTS3 driver, GTS3 fairway woods, a T200 driving iron, T100 irons, Vokey wedges and a Pro V1x. The one hand-built exception is the putter, a Scotty Cameron TourType GSS tour prototype blade.
That putter is the story of his 2026. Kim spent a couple of seasons on mallets, went back in March to the same GSS blade he won the 2022 Wyndham Championship with, and in July won the Genesis Scottish Open with it, gaining more than three and a half strokes on the field putting and ending a victory drought of more than 1,000 days. It also made him one of only two players to win with a blade that season.

The story of the bag
Kim won the 2026 Genesis Scottish Open in July, his fourth PGA Tour title and first in more than 1,000 days, with a blade putter in a mallet-dominated era.
The March 2026 putter change is the substantive one. He moved off mallets and back to the Scotty Cameron GSS blade that won his first Tour event, saying he has always putted best with a blade.
He is a full Titleist staffer, so the woods, irons, wedges and ball all update in line with Titleist's release cycle. The wedge count varies between three and four depending on the week.
