Max Homa's WITB: a Cobra bag with two Titleist holdovers
Homa left Titleist for Cobra after eleven years, and the switch is close to total — everything but the Scotty Cameron putter and the Pro V1 ball.

Max Homa is a Cobra player now, not a Titleist one. He signed with Cobra in the 2024/25 off-season after 11 years with Titleist, and the most recent detailed bag check — Today's Golfer's update from The Open on 13 July 2026 — has 12 of his 14 clubs in Cobra: a DS-Adapt LS driver at 9.4°, a matching 14.5° DS-Adapt LS fairway wood, a three-model iron blend and Snakebite wedges. The two holdovers from the Titleist years are the ones that matter most to him: a Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5.5 prototype putter and a Pro V1 ball.
The interesting part is how unsettled the top of the bag has been through 2026. He opened the season gaming a working prototype Cobra OPTM Max-LSK driver head, added a Cobra KING TEC mini driver at Augusta in April, and by The Open was listed back on the DS-Adapt LS. The irons are the other quirk: a 3D-printed LIMIT3D 4-iron, a King CB 5-iron and King MB blades from 6-iron down, reported as built to replicate the Titleist 620 MBs he left behind.

Scotty Cameron's own tour coverage names the Phantom X 5.5 prototype as his gamer, with several PGA Tour wins on it; Today's Golfer writes the same putter up as a 'T5.5 prototype'. Either way it is the long-serving mallet he kept when he left Titleist's club deal.

Homa's 2026 season has been an equipment-tinkering one. He began the year on a prototype Cobra OPTM Max-LSK driver alongside swing changes with coach Mark Blackburn, and GolfWRX reported him adding Cobra's KING TEC mini driver for the Masters (43.5in, Fujikura Ventus Blue 7-X VeloCore+, FutureFit33 A2 setting). Neither club appears in the July list, so both should be treated as rotating rather than fixed.
The bag is unusual in that it blends three different Cobra iron models across seven slots — LIMIT3D, King CB and King MB — rather than running a single set or a simple two-model combo.
