Finch checked his own stats, found he had hit a 3-wood five times in a season, and replaced it with a mini driver. A full Titleist setup built by a coach who audits his own gaps.

Peter Finch signed with Titleist at the start of 2025, so this is a full staff bag — but it is not a default one. The interesting slot is the one that isn't there: no conventional 3-wood, replaced by a GT280 mini driver after Finch went through his own shot data and found he had used a 3-wood five times in an entire season.
He swings at around 120mph, plays a deliberately shorter and heavier driver shaft to stop himself over-swinging, and spent the season converting a lifelong fade into a draw. For a coach's bag, almost every choice has a stated reason behind it.

The story of the bag
The mini-driver decision is the one worth stealing. Finch didn't drop the 3-wood on feel — he looked at how often he actually used it, found the answer was five times in a season, and gave the slot to a club he would hit. Most amateurs carry a 3-wood for the same reason they carry a 4-iron: it came with the set.
The shaft choice runs against instinct too. At 120mph he went shorter and heavier rather than longer and lighter, using the build to restrain himself rather than chase speed.
Finch qualified through to Final Open Qualifying in 2025 and has played the PGA Tour Creator Classic and the Internet Invitational, so this bag gets tested in competition rather than only on camera.
