Grant Horvat's WITB: a TaylorMade top half and a company he part-owns below it
Horvat plays TaylorMade woods and ball under an athlete deal, and Takomo irons in a brand he became an owner of in 2025. Two of the slots in between are genuinely unsettled, and we'd rather say so.

Grant Horvat is the biggest name in YouTube golf, past a million subscribers, and his bag is split down the middle by two different commercial relationships. He has been a TaylorMade athlete since January 2023 and plays their driver, woods and ball. In January 2025 he announced he had become an owner of the Finnish direct-to-consumer brand Takomo, and moved his irons across.
That makes this the most commercially interesting bag in creator golf and, awkwardly, one of the harder ones to state precisely. TaylorMade's own athlete page lists the clubs they supply; nobody authoritative publishes the rest. Below is what is actually verified, and what isn't.

Takomo
Brand confirmed by his own ownership announcement; the model is NOT. Aggregators list both the blade-like 301 CB and the more forgiving 201, and the widely-copied "301 CB" spec actually traces back to Wesley Bryan's bag rather than Horvat's. We describe the slot rather than pick one.

Wedges
Sources genuinely disagree here. TaylorMade's current athlete page lists MG5 wedges; his January 2025 Takomo announcement said he would play Takomo irons AND wedges. Treat the wedge slot as having moved back.

Putter
Consistently reported across secondary sources rather than confirmed by a primary one — and the same putter J.J. Spaun plays, one of only two L.A.B. putters in the 49 tour bags we track.

The story of the bag
The ownership stake is the thing to understand before you take any gear recommendation from this bag. Takomo made Horvat a shareholder in January 2025, not an ambassador — "I am officially an owner of Takomo Golf" — and added George and Wesley Bryan on the same basis days later. Ownership is a stronger incentive than a sponsorship fee because the upside isn't capped. We've written about what that does and doesn't prove separately.
Horvat was explicit about the split at the time: he remains a TaylorMade athlete "and will be playing the driver, woods, and ball." So the top of the bag is a conventional endorsement and the irons are an equity position.
Why this page hedges more than our tour bags: no outlet maintains a sourced Horvat WITB, TaylorMade only publish their own clubs, and the aggregators that fill the gap contradict each other. A creator's bag also changes faster than a staffer's. We would rather show you two honest gaps than a tidy list that's wrong.
Frequently asked
- What driver does Grant Horvat use?
- A TaylorMade Qi4D. He has been a TaylorMade athlete since January 2023 and plays their driver, fairway, rescue and ball.
- Does Grant Horvat own Takomo?
- He is a part-owner. In January 2025 he announced he had become an owner of Takomo Golf alongside playing their clubs, and George and Wesley Bryan were added as shareholders days later.
- Which Takomo irons does Grant Horvat play?
- The brand is confirmed but the model isn't. Secondary sources list both the 301 CB and the more forgiving 201, and the commonly-repeated 301 CB spec traces back to Wesley Bryan's bag. No primary source pins Horvat's set, so we don't state one.
- What putter does Grant Horvat use?
- A L.A.B. Golf DF3, reported consistently across secondary sources. It's the same model J.J. Spaun plays — one of only two L.A.B. putters among the 49 tour bags we track.
